Tonya Ramer Wenger
Tonya has been serving as pastor at First Mennonite since August 2010, coming to us after almost 11 years as the pastor of Madison Mennonite Church in Madison, WI. Her deepest desire as a pastor is to help create space for each person to experience the transforming power of God that calls them to an active life of discipleship in the world.
Tonya is a graduate of Bethel College in North Newton, KS (B.A. in Music and Bible & Religion) and the Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart, IN (Master of Divinity). She has completed 5 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (Ft. Wayne, IN and Tucson, AZ), and completed the Clergy Spirituality and Leadership Program at the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation near Baltimore, MD. Tonya is happily married to Jonathan, and together they are raising four children in grade school, high school and college.
